After much bribing and blackmail I'm forced to add a link to The Wobblies webpage! Actually its pretty good a credit must go to ever popular message boarder Rab thats Rabid Browndog to you and me for bringing it to the attention of the World! Oh and he is one of the bands members too!

Check it out here ----> The Wobblies

Dog from Blackburn is the latest message boarder to get in on the act, well he's been at it for years but is a fairly recent member of the collective! This is what he has to say about himself -

I'm definitely a bloke, I drink Beer, I'll be 39 in January 2005 & have been into the Damned since Machine Gun Etiquette &, although I'm sure I'd heard some of their stuff before then & liked it, Machine Gun Etiquette is the album that really grabbed me & made me a fan of the Damned to this day.
Back in 1978 / 1979 I was at secondary school & although technically some of us should have been in school having school dinners, me, my mate Danny & his mate John Wood used to go to John Woods house at lunchtime, stopping off for a pie or pint on the way ( If we didn't get served at the hare & hounds there was always beer in the fridge at woody's house!). He had a "Proper Hi Fi" , one where it actually had a sticker on it to say it had passed certain tests & was a "True Hi-If", Wattage, signal to noise ratio etc.
Well, this was too good to be true, & so it went on, until one day, John put this record on & for the first time since Jimi Hendrix in 1967 I stopped what I was doing, looked round & said what's that? Cunt's that we all were in those day's, they wouldn't tell me, so I had to guess who had made such a fine record.
All I can remember is having a wild guess that it may have been Bowie's latest, but after that, it's a bit hazy.
I think there may have been violence (or threats of) involved, & the odd cry of "don't trash my house, my dad'll kill me!" or similar, but eventually I found out what the record was.
So, after much persuasion of my dad, or did I get a paper round, I'm not really sure , but I did end up with MGE & it practically lived on my turntable for years.
In between Machine Gun Etiquette & the Black Album, in April 1980, myself & a few mates formed our first band (Punk band, of course). Myself (Mark Walmsley somehow acquiring the name "Dog") on Bass & lead vocals, Anthony Grogan (Kermit, the name a girl across the road called him on account of his green bondage pants) on Drums & John Pritt ( I used to call him "the non sticky sticky stuff" but he didn't like that, but would answer to "roast beef" for some reason) on guitar.
After several months practising in Anthony's front room we could play a few songs & some of our own (A bit boring really).
And then came the Damned at King George's hall, Blackburn, December 1980, a night that was to change my life forever...........
More to follow........but I'm tired now so I might be going to bed soon.

Oops! nearly forgot a link to my download page:

Claypole has been busy Mashing!! His latest creation a battle between the mighty Captain Sensible & Eminem its actually very good and you can download an MP3 version from a file sharing network near you! We hope to have a dowloadable version available here soon.

At the end of 2001 a massive project was embarked upon by members of the Message board. The challenge was to produce a quality cover of a Damned song by exchanging files over the internet. The Board Stiffs were formed and by the end of 2002 a credible version of "Wait For The Blackout" had been released to critical aclaim. This is a remarkable achievement considering this band have never met the drummer is in Austrailia, the singers is from the US, acoustic guitarist resides in Scotland, keyboards were provided by a young lady from Manchester and the lead guitarist drew the short straw and lives in Maccelsfield!

A second song "Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde" which infact was the first attempt was also recorded this is a quirky version and features Lord Lucan on Guitars & Keyboards with Emily Rose on vocals hence the renaming of the song to Lady Jekyll & Mistress Hyde..
